A hydraulic control valve is what stands between the pump and the equipment. It sends the oil to the cylinder or motor the operator asks for, holds the load when the lever is released, and lets the oil back to the tank when the job is done.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many spools do I need?
One spool per function. A dump bed alone needs one; a bed plus tailgate needs two; a crane with boom, swing and winch needs three to five. It is worth allowing one spare spool if you may add a function later.
Manual, pneumatic or electric?
Manual levers are simple and cheap to fit. Pneumatic and electric versions can be operated from the cab, which is safer and faster on site, and electric gives the most precise control on multi-function trucks.
How do I order the right one?
