Water Cannon
Flange-mounted monitors for fire trucks and water trucks, aimed by hand and fed by the truck's own pump.
Monitors Fed by the Truck's Own Pump
A water cannon — a monitor — is bolted to the deck of the truck and aimed by hand while the water is running. It makes no pressure of its own: what leaves the nozzle is whatever the pump behind it sends, which is why the pump and the cannon are chosen together.
VPS supplies monitors for fire trucks and for water trucks, working with a PTO-driven water pump. The firefighting monitors are rated by flow; the spray monitor is a lighter unit for washing down and dust suppression.
Fire Monitors
Fixed-type monitors for fire trucks, rated at 10 bar. Choose by the flow your pump delivers.
Spray Monitors
A lighter monitor for water trucks — washing down, dust suppression and irrigation rather than firefighting.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which flow rate do I need?
Go by the pump, not by the truck. A monitor cannot deliver more than the pump sends it, and a pump that sends more than the monitor is rated for wastes the difference across the nozzle. Tell us the pump’s flow and working pressure and we will say which one matches.
Does the monitor come with a pump?
No — the monitor and the pump are separate. A water cannon is normally fitted to a truck that already has a PTO-driven water pump; the pumps we supply are on the water pump page.
What do you need to quote one?
The pump’s rated flow and working pressure, the inlet connection on your pipework, and what the truck is for. Those three decide the unit and the fittings.
Need a Water Cannon for Your Truck?
Tell us the pump you have and what the truck has to do, and our team will match the monitor to it.
